Townhouse fire in Arlington Heights, 8-9-24 (more)

From Jimmy Bolf: Subject: Arlington Heights, IL Box Alarm Fire on August 9th, 2024 --- Man, this fire was something else. I was out taking some photos when I got the call about the box alarm going off in Arlington Heights. It's not every day you see flames shooting up like that. The whole scene was intense—smoke everywhere, fire trucks lined up, and the guys from the Arlington Heights Fire Department working their butts off to get it under control. I managed to snap a few shots while I was there. It’s always crazy how quickly these things can spread. You can almost feel the heat just looking at the pictures. Take a look at the one where the roof is fully engulfed—it’s wild. The firefighters were doing an amazing job though, even with the conditions being less than ideal. Here’s a quick rundown of what I saw: - The fire started around mid-afternoon. - They had to evacuate a couple of homes nearby just to be safe. - The wind wasn’t helping matters, pushing the smoke right into the streets. It’s moments like these that remind you why we have such dedicated first responders. These guys are true heroes. Anyway, check out the pics below.
