On Friday afternoon, April 14th, 2017, emergency responders from Prospect Heights and Arlington Heights were dispatched to the intersection of Hintz and Schoenbeck Roads following reports of a severe rollover accident requiring vehicle extrication. Upon arrival, crews found a chaotic scene involving multiple vehicles. A van driven by an elderly individual had veered off the road, crashing into a stationary car in a nearby parking lot. Meanwhile, a Nissan SUV had flipped over completely, rolling onto its roof before coming to rest upright on the adjacent sidewalk. Fortunately, all passengers were already outside the vehicles when the firefighters arrived.
The van's driver was promptly transported to a local hospital via Prospect Heights Ambulance 9. Two occupants from the overturned SUV declined medical treatment and transport. The situation appeared tense initially, but thanks to the quick response of the first responders, everyone involved was accounted for without any major injuries being reported.
