New CFD deliveries

Bill Friedrich recently shared some pictures of recent Chicago Fire Department (CFD) assignments. He also mentioned an interesting update: there’s another truck currently being serviced at the station and awaiting deployment at Truck 61, designated as E-341. Attached are some photos of various CFD vehicles. First up is Engine 120, a striking crimson-colored 2010 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model equipped with a powerful 1,500-gallon-per-minute (GPM) pump, 500 gallons of water, and a 30-gallon foam tank. This unit carries the shop number D-655 and was captured in a great shot by Bill Friedrich. Next, we have Truck 51, which is part of the department’s aerial ladder units. It’s a 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model with a 103-foot rear-mounted ladder. With its shop number E-341, this truck plays a crucial role in firefighting operations across the city. As always, Bill Friedrich’s photography does an excellent job showcasing its sleek design and functionality. Following closely behind is Truck 59, another impressive 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model featuring the same 103-foot rear-mounted ladder. This truck is identified by its shop number E-340, and like all modern fire trucks, it combines strength and agility to handle any situation effectively. Lastly, let’s take a look at Truck 62, a 2011 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson model with a 103-foot rear-mounted ladder and shop number E-336. This vehicle stands out not only for its technical specifications but also for its ability to assist firefighters in reaching heights and navigating tight spaces during emergencies.
