Qilu Petrochemical's QS series PVC sack packaging line at the chlor-alkali plant has recently been completed and officially put into operation. This marks a significant milestone in the plant’s efforts to enhance the packaging standards of its PVC products, further boosting its market presence both domestically and internationally. Previously, the factory only had a 25kg pouch packaging line for the QS series PVC. However, there was no facility for large-bag packaging ranging from 500kg to 1200kg. According to market research, there is a considerable demand gap for large-bag QS series PVC products in regions such as Guangdong, as well as in Europe and the United States. In these markets, the average price of large-bag packaging is about 100 yuan higher than that of small-bag products, indicating strong potential for value addition. In the highly competitive domestic market between ethylene-based and calcium carbide-based PVC, the plant has identified large-bag packaging as a key strategy to improve its competitiveness. This year, following the principle of "low input and quick output," the company successfully upgraded and optimized the 1100kg large-bag packaging system. The entire project—from approval to procurement, construction, and commissioning—was completed in just four months, demonstrating remarkable efficiency and planning. This rapid implementation has created favorable conditions for the timely launch of large-bag products into the market, allowing the company to seize new opportunities and strengthen its position in the global PVC industry.
