Cangzhou Dahua's 30,000-ton TDI technical reform project has achieved the best level since the device transformation was completed

Recently, Cangzhou Dahua Group Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the 30,000-ton TDI expansion and reconstruction project, achieving its planned objectives. Following a profit of 6.25 million yuan in October, the company produced 2,827 tons of TDI in November, with an average daily output of 95 tons — the highest level since the facility was upgraded. This achievement marks a significant step toward reaching the domestic advanced standards of similar production units. It is worth noting that the original 20,000-ton TDI plant at Cangzhou Dahuayuan was commissioned in 1999 and was once the largest TDI producer in China. However, as the global and domestic TDI industry experienced rapid growth, the company's small-scale production capacity and limited ability to withstand market fluctuations became more evident. In response, Cangzhou Dahua focused on enhancing its core competitiveness, aiming to compete with international TDI giants and establish a strong domestic production base. This led to the decision to expand the original 20,000-ton facility. The project received state approval in 2003 and was included in the national "Double High and Excellent" recommended projects. With dedicated efforts from technical staff, the reconstruction was completed with a relatively low investment of 150 million yuan, increasing production capacity by 50%. The main technologies and key equipment were imported from Swedish International Chemicals Company. The primary focus of the renovation was to eliminate bottlenecks in hydrogenation, nitration, and other critical production stages. To ensure the continued operation of the original facility, the engineering team at Cangzhou Dahua used the annual maintenance period to complete the installation within just 40 days, launching trial operations in June. Due to technical limitations in local supporting equipment, the system could only operate at 60% capacity initially. Despite this challenge, the team quickly adapted their strategy, maintaining normal production while continuing with renovations and debugging. By October, the newly expanded 30,000-ton TDI plant reached over 90% of its designed capacity and entered a stable operational phase.
