Cangzhou Dahua's 30,000-ton TDI technical reform project has achieved the best level since the device transformation was completed

Recently, Cangzhou Dahua Group Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the 30,000-ton TDI expansion and reconstruction project, achieving its set targets. Following a profit of 6.25 million yuan in October, the company produced 2,827 tons of TDI in November, with an average daily output of 95 tons — the highest level since the facility was upgraded. This performance marks a significant step toward reaching the domestic advanced standards of similar production units. The original 20,000-ton TDI plant at Cangzhou Dahuayuan was commissioned in 1999 and was once the largest TDI producer in China. However, as the global and domestic TDI industry grew rapidly, the company's small-scale production capacity and limited ability to withstand market fluctuations became more apparent. In response, Cangzhou Dahua focused on enhancing its core competitiveness, aiming to compete with international TDI giants and establish a strong domestic production base. As part of this strategy, the company decided to expand its original 20,000-ton facility. Approved by the state in 2003, the project was included in the national "double high and excellent" recommended list. Through efficient planning and dedicated efforts from technical staff, the reconstruction was completed with an investment of only 150 million yuan, increasing production capacity by 50%. The main technology and key equipment were imported from Sweden’s International Chemicals Company. The primary goal of the upgrade was to eliminate bottlenecks in hydrogenation, nitration, and other critical production stages. To ensure continuity in the original operations, the team at Cangzhou Dahua took advantage of the annual maintenance period to install new equipment within just 40 days, completing the trial operation in June. Due to some technical limitations in local supporting equipment, the facility initially operated at only 60% capacity. Nevertheless, the team quickly adapted their approach, balancing renovation and debugging while restoring normal production. By October, the 30,000-ton TDI plant reached over 90% of its capacity and entered a stable operational phase, marking a major milestone for the company.
