For a long time, heavy-duty trucks have been essential not only for long-haul high-speed freight transport but also for specialized industries like terminal delivery and construction. The unspoken rule of "stopping people from stopping" highlights the unique demands of heavy truck operations and the intense competition in the sector.
Heavy trucks have faced a cold period recently. According to the latest data, the industry sold 65,963 units in the first quarter of 2006, marking an 8.13% decline compared to the same period the previous year. Despite a sharp drop in 2005, the market has yet to fully recover from its downturn.
"A typical heavy truck consumes about 30 liters per 100 kilometers. If we calculate based on an average annual usage of 250,000 kilometers, that's roughly 75,000 liters of fuel per year. If fuel prices rise by another 2 yuan per liter, each user could face an additional cost of up to 150,000 yuan annually," said Li Mingyun, a major transportation company executive.
Previously, heavy truck users prioritized reliability and the availability of maintenance services, especially for long-distance, high-load operations. However, with rising oil prices—driven by multiple increases in refined oil product prices by the National Development and Reform Commission—the issue of fuel consumption, once overlooked, has now become a major concern.
Experts note that the combination of volatile global crude oil prices and strong domestic demand has pushed China into a high-oil-price era, where prices are unlikely to fall sharply in the future.
High oil prices are affecting both consumers and manufacturers. A recent online survey showed that nearly 50% of car owners plan to reduce their driving frequency. Potential buyers, in particular, are being significantly impacted. Many are reconsidering when and how to buy a vehicle, with almost half planning to delay purchases and 13% considering abandoning their plans altogether.
Fuel efficiency is becoming a new benchmark in the market. With stricter enforcement of weight limits and rising fuel costs, heavy truck operators—who rely heavily on fuel—are facing tougher conditions. Manufacturers that once enjoyed a "cold period" are now scrambling to adapt.
According to Wang Minglei, the consumption trend among heavy truck users is shifting. Fuel efficiency has surpassed reliability and service as the top priority for truck buyers. Companies like Nanjin Yuejin and Shaanxi Auto are now emphasizing fuel-saving features as key selling points. For example, Nanjing Yuejin’s Linye Heavy Trucks promote the slogan: "Save 90 yuan every day, saving 30,000 yuan a year."
A dealer from NAC explained, "We use the most advanced Weichai 06 engine, which reduces fuel consumption by 10-15%. Our trucks have even achieved a record low of 25 liters per 100 kilometers, which is nearly five liters less than similar models. This makes our trucks ideal for users who want to cut costs."
There are clear signs that domestic automakers are beginning to understand how to tackle this challenge. They are focusing on producing more fuel-efficient, technologically advanced heavy trucks. As a result, fuel efficiency has become a central point of competition among brands.
Industry experts believe that while rising oil prices have increased costs for users, they have also driven improvements in environmental protection, energy efficiency, and performance in domestic heavy truck design. In the high-oil-price era, only those companies that can deliver low fuel consumption, high environmental standards, and strong power will succeed in the market. This ensures not only lower costs for users but also a premium experience with cutting-edge technology.

Copper is the most difficult impurity to remove during the pyrometallurgical process of crude lead. After years of research and development, Luanchuan Hengkai Metallurgical Materials Sales Co., Ltd. has developed and produced a lead pyrometallurgical refining bismuth removal agent. Our company has independently developed and produced a new type of copper removal agent for pyrometallurgical lead. After using the copper removal agent produced by our company, the copper content in the lead after copper removal is within 0.0002. More importantly, after using the copper removal agent produced by our company, there was no pollution (no smoke), reduced sulfur dioxide emissions, no low altitude pollution, simple worker operation, improved operating environment, and free technical guidance was provided for the first use.
