Tianjin FAW sales startled with a big reversal of 17% year-on-year growth in July

Tianjin FAW unveiled its latest sales data: In January of this year, 1989 new sales vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%. This is also the first time that Tianjin FAW has demonstrated sales growth since 2017. According to the “Junchi Plan” announced by Tianjin FAW, two new vehicles, the A70E new energy model and the new A50 compact sedan, will continue to be launched before the end of this year, which will continue to stimulate sales growth.

Since 2017, Tianjin FAW sales have remained sluggish, with cumulative sales of 13,527 units from January to July, down 34.7% year-on-year. The main reason for the resolution is that the current product structure is in the adjustment period. According to July sales figures, this situation has changed. Its new series of products, the Chunpai Group, contributed 1518 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 155%, and it has achieved two consecutive months of growth. The Wei series sold 222 units, a year-on-year drop of 62.6%; the old brand series - Xiali totaled for a single month in July. 249 units were sold, a decrease of 54.9% year-on-year.

Junpai A70E

The Junpai A70E is a pure electric version of the current A70. A new energy logo was added to the exterior details to show the pure electric identity. The front face of the new car is very similar to Volkswagen Scirocco. The headlights are connected to the front grille, the LED daytime running lights are integrated with the bumper and the lower air intake, and the rear view mirrors integrate the turn signal function. The shape of the taillight echoes with the headlights, and it adopts a horizontal polygon design and incorporates LED light sources inside. The blue “E” logo is added to the tail part of the tailgate, and a black guard plate is provided under the bumper.

Junpai A70E equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motor, the maximum power of 80kW, fast charging half an hour can be charged 80%. The cruising range of a new car under comprehensive conditions can reach 280km. In addition, Junpai A70E is equipped with heat pump air conditioning system and non-decoupled brake energy recovery system, which reduces energy loss by 50% and extends cruising range by 10%.

Junpai A50 is designed by IDG. The front face adopts an inverted trapezoidal three-banner type air intake grille, and the FAW LOGO is embedded in the center. The front bumper is decorated with banners on both sides and incorporates fog lamps. Chun sent A50 car side of the line is more smooth, high waist line directly connected with the taillights group. The tail is divided into upper and lower layers by a chrome-plated decoration, and is connected with the taillights.

Junpai A50 will provide a choice of 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.0T turbocharged two engines. Among them, the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine has a maximum power of 75kW and a peak torque of 135Nm, matching a 5-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the 1.0T turbocharged engine has a maximum power of 88 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The transmission system will either match the 6-speed manual and 7DCT dual-clutch gearboxes.
