Russian ship company JSC ZNT Shipyard has signed an order with SPB Marine LLC to deliver marine engines. It is reported that this is Scania's largest contract in Russia so far, with a total of 32 propulsion units, and the Scania DI 16M engine and Twin Disc MGX 5135 SC gearbox for the 23040 project.
It is understood that ZNT Yard OJSC recently signed a national contract to build 16 search and rescue vessels for the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense 23040 project, which will be completed within three years. The first four ships will be delivered to the Black Sea Fleet, three ships will be delivered to the Caspian Fleet, and nine ships will be delivered to the Baltic Fleet.
