On Tuesday morning, May 28, 2019, emergency units from Wheeling, Buffalo Grove, and Arlington Heights were all called to respond to a severe rollover accident on Hintz Road near Old Buffalo Grove Road. The location is situated on the border between Wheeling and Arlington Heights, and the call was received by both the RED Center and Northwest Central Dispatch. Upon arrival, firefighters found four occupants of the SUV, including three children, already out of the vehicle. The crash had left the SUV overturned on its roof, creating a dangerous entrapment situation.
Emergency crews quickly assessed the scene and coordinated with paramedics to ensure the injured were safely transported. Three ambulances were dispatched to take the patients to local hospitals for further evaluation.
