The aluminum electrolytic project with the largest capacity in the world's single series—Lianzhou Liancheng Aluminum Company’s phase-out and backward technology for environmental protection and energy conservation is currently under construction. All production capacity will be completed and put into operation by the end of this year. It is understood that the project has a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan, integrating the most advanced energy-saving technologies and achievements. The project designed 388,000 tons/year of primary aluminum and supported the construction of a 205,000 ton/year prebaked anode production system. At present, the electrolysis workshop has been completely completed. The electrolyzer in the first district has been built and trial production has been completed. The civil construction in the second and third districts of the electrolysis area has basically been completed. The construction of the auxiliary production system is proceeding as planned.
