Air Products announced on April 26 that its Xi'an branch office had officially opened. The newly-opened branch company is located in Xi'an High-tech Zone and will be dedicated to meeting the growing demand of industrial gases in China's western regions.
In 2006, Air Products began serving the Shaanxi electronics industry, energy and chemical industry, etc. It operates an advanced large-scale air separation plant in Weinan, Shaanxi, and another seven large-scale air separation plants are under construction. Among them, the cooperation project with Shaanxi Future Energy Chemicals Co., Ltd. is the largest air separation plant on-site gas supply order obtained by industrial gas company so far. It plans to build 4 sets of large-scale air separation units, and then every day for the future energy and chemical company coal chemical project. Provides 12,000 tons of oxygen and tons of nitrogen and compressed dry air.
It is reported that Air Products recently established a scholarship at Xi'an Jiaotong University, and also cooperated with other universities and research institutes on electronic materials, energy utilization, and cryogenic technology.
