According to an announcement released by the State General Administration of Customs at the end of last year, effective January 1st this year, the import of diammonium phosphate will be exempt from import value-added tax. Before importing diammonium phosphate, importers are required to submit relevant documentation to their local customs authority for approval. The application process for tax exemption must be completed through the "Customs Tax Exemption Management System." The exemption falls under the category of "national approval relief," with the code designated as 898. Once the customs authorities verify the documents and confirm their compliance with regulations, they will issue a "Certificate of Taxation on Import and Export Goods" to the importer.
This new regulation aims to streamline the import process while ensuring proper oversight. It also reflects the government's continued efforts to support the agricultural sector and promote sustainable development.
