Recently, Daqing Refining & Chemicals Polypropylene Factory took advantage of the opportunity for the first full overhaul of the 300,000-ton/year polypropylene extrusion granulator this year to find a large amount of relevant information and successfully solved the large-scale gate desalination of the extrusion granulator. The problem of water loss cannot be recovered. It is estimated that this transformation can save more than 8,000 tons of water for the company.
At present, there are common problems in large-scale material gates of centrifugal granulators of the same type of domestically-used devices that cause excessive gaps in the material doors and loose seals due to design reasons, thus causing a large loss of desalinated water that cannot be recovered. In order to avoid waste of resources and promote optimal operation of the plant, the plant carefully studied the principle of the bulk gate process and finally found the crux of the problem and decided to seal it with a special material rubber. Practice has proved that this method not only has high temperature resistance and strong water impact resistance, but also can effectively enhance the tightness of large material doors, so that most of the desalinated water is recycled to the pelletizing water tank, which can save 24 tons of water daily.
