Recently, Tianchen Company, a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group, and the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Belarus ("Belarus") have signed a 300,000-ton/year soda ash EPC general contract for the MOZYR soda ash plant in Belarus.
The project is located in Mogil City, Gomel State, Belarus. It is designed using the traditional Solvay process. The duration of the contract is 37 months and the contract value is about 220 million US dollars. The soda plant is the first soda project in Belarus.
