This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly water-based coatings across various sectors in China.
Under the agreement, both parties will organize a series of promotional activities throughout the year, including technical seminars on water-based paint applications, industry forums with government representatives, and specialized training sessions. These initiatives are designed to support the rapid structural transformation of the water-based paint industry and enhance customer application technologies. Additionally, they plan to promote the use of waterborne polyurethane coatings in several key areas, such as plastic, wood, automotive, refinish, flooring, and architectural coatings.
Bayer MaterialScience, a global leader in water-based coating technology, has established a comprehensive production base in Shanghai to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly coatings in China. Meanwhile, the Changzhou Paint & Chemical Research Institute is recognized for its advanced research and development capabilities in coating applications, having achieved numerous technological breakthroughs.
Notably, the waterborne polyurethane floor coating system developed by Bayer MaterialScience has already been successfully implemented at the China Olympic National Swimming Center. Furthermore, the company's coating raw materials have also been used in the iconic National Stadium, commonly known as the "Bird's Nest," highlighting the trust placed in their innovative and sustainable solutions.
This collaboration represents a major step forward in the development and widespread application of water-based coatings in China, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and technological advancement.
