It's been a few days since the last update on the site, and between travel and other responsibilities, there hasn't been much time to keep things up-to-date. However, we're getting back on track, and several new additions will be posted in the coming days. Our contributors have been busy capturing images of fire apparatus, and it takes some time to organize everything properly. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming soon: Jack Connors has submitted a number of CFD updates, including detailed photos of the Mundelein Fire Department's equipment. One standout image shows a Pierce Saber engine that's been serving the community for years. Karl Klotz has also contributed fresh photos of CFD apparatus, along with updated shots of several fire stations. His latest photo captures Engine 45’s station with its distinctive red doors, giving a clear look at the current setup. Hank, Karl, Bill, and Larry, along with George Reichardt and Jeff Schielke, recently visited all 10 Naperville Fire Stations. The entire department is now being fully updated and should be completed by the end of the week. A highlight from their visit includes a 2009 Spartan Crimson 103' rear-mount quint, one of two in the department. Larry has also added several new images of Palatine and Rolling Meadows apparatus. These were taken on-site during a large commercial fire last Friday, offering a real-world look at how these units respond to emergencies. Among the highlights are a 1999 Ford Excellance used as a reserve squad and a 2000 EONE pumper that was seen at a recent fire at Wings Resale Shop.
