Saab CEO Says Need to Re-negotiate M&A Deals with China

According to the latest news from Reuters, Saab CEO Victor Müller said that he needed to renegotiate mergers and acquisitions with China.

On November 7, 2011, Muller told Reuters in a telephone text message: "We must go back to the drawing stage (the original 'Drawing Board')." Müller's position was due to his former parent company. GM, some of the preferred stock holders, opposed Chinese companies to fully acquire Saab.

Last Friday, General Motors once said that because Saab M & A transactions may affect its competitiveness in China and other markets, it is difficult to support China's complete acquisition of Saab. On November 7, General Motors spokesman Jim Cain said in an e-mail that he decided to cut off parts and technology supply for the Saab 9-4X. GM also submitted a number of questions to Saab on M&A M&A matters, while Saab said that GM will not really hinder China’s acquisition.
