Moisture Analyzer MA50, MA100 Operating Instructions (I)

l Warning and Security

This moisture analyzer complies with European Commission and international standards for electronic equipment, electromagnetic compatibility and ensuring safety. However, improper use or operation can result in damage or injury to the instrument.

Thoroughly read the operating manual thoroughly before operating the instrument to avoid damaging the equipment. Keep this manual in a safe place.

Please observe the following regulations to operate the instrument safely and without difficulty:

! This instrument is only used for moisture analysis samples. Any improper use can cause danger and damage to the analyzer or other valuable equipment.

! Do not use this instrument in hazardous locations; use the instrument only under the external conditions specified in this manual.

― This instrument is operated by a technician who is familiar with the components of the sample being analyzed.

! Before use, determine the current voltage as the rated voltage specified on the label on the instrument. (Please refer to the section "Connecting the Instrument" in the chapter "Getting Started")

―The device is connected to a power supply with a ground wire

― The only way to completely turn off the power is to unplug the power plug

―The power cord cannot touch the heated area of the instrument

―Using standard extension power cords and protective grounding cables

―No connection ground

― Only connect accessory of Sartorius designed for this instrument

―Prohibit the instrument from touching liquid

― If the instrument or power cord is obviously damaged, unplug the instrument and place it in a safe place to ensure it is not used again.

! Follow the cleaning rules for instrument cleaning (see "Maintenance and Maintenance")

―After installing the moisture analyzer, allow enough space to ensure heat dissipation to prevent the instrument from overheating.

―20cm space around the instrument

―1m space above the instrument.

― Because the space around the heated area becomes warm, no flammable materials can be placed above, below, or near the instrument.

― Be careful when removing the sample: The sample itself, the heating device and the sample plate are very hot

― The heating device cannot be moved during operation: The heating chamber and its glass protection panel are very hot.

― Prevent overheating around the analyzer.

The following signs are dangerous to people or instruments:

- Flammable or explosive materials

- Solvent-containing substances

― Substances that produce flammable, explosive, or vaporous vapors during drying.

In some tests, nitrogen may be sealed in the operating moisture analyzer to prevent water vapor generated during the drying process from coming into contact with ambient oxygen.

According to each determination, whether this method is applied or not will be affected by the installation of the analyzer in a closed space (for example, overheating the analyzer). When there is a problem, please conduct a risk analysis.

The user is responsible for any damages associated with the instrument.

― Poisonous, alkaline or corrosive substances can only be dried with steam tubes. Do not exceed the minimum toxic limit in the work area.

Corrosive:

― Excessive water vapor (eg acid) is released during heating: Small sample volumes are required in this type of assay. Otherwise, the vapour accumulates in the colder part of the heating and causes corrosion.

The user is responsible for any damage caused by improper operation.

start using

The moisture analyzer includes a heating device, a weighing system, a display control device and an additional printer. In addition, there is a socket for the AC power socket to connect peripheral devices such as a computer and a printer.

Storage and transportation conditions

Permissible storage temperature is 0-+40°C +32H-+104H

Do not leave the analyzer at an undesirably high temperature, humidity, shock, vibration, or vibration.

Unpacking moisture analyzer

l Immediately after unpacking, check if it is damaged in transit

Please check according to the section on safety inspection in chapter "Maintenance and Maintenance".

Keep everything from the original packaging until you have successfully installed the moisture analyzer, because the original packaging provides optimal protection for shipping. Before packing your moisture analyzer, unplug all plugs to avoid damage.

Equipment Accessories

Equipment accessories include the following components:

― Moisture Analyzer - Power Cable - Disc Bracket - Protective Plate

- Keyboard dust cover - 80 disposable aluminum sample trays - 1 pair of tweezers

― Three Command Cards Available in 6 Languages

Installation instructions

Moisture analyzers are used for stable moisture determination in factories and laboratories under normal conditions. Please install according to the following requirements so that you can make a quick and accurate determination.

― Please install the analyzer in a fixed position with a flat surface and no vibration

― Avoid installing the analyzer near a heat source or in direct sunlight

― Avoid exposing the analyzer to high temperatures.

―You cannot place the monitor on the tuyere.

―Demonstrate as much dust as possible on the analyzer

― Avoid contact with corrosive chemical vapors

― Do not place the analyzer in a very humid place

― Select a place that does not allow too much heat to accumulate, leaving enough space between the analyzer and surrounding objects

Moisture meter conditions

When the cool moisture analyzer is placed in a warm place, moisture in the air can collect on its surface. So if you place the moisture analyzer in a warm place, leave it for about 2 hours to adjust its condition and unplug its AC power. Then, if you keep the moisture analyzer connected to AC power, the continued positive gap between the internal and external temperatures of moisture determination will actually eliminate the effect of moisture accumulation.

Installation moisture determination

l Install according to the following instructions

― Cover the keyboard dust cover - protective panel

―Disc holder; turn left or right, and then gently press the bracket until it is properly seated in the bayonet

Connect moisture analyzer to AC power

l Check the rated voltage and plug design

â—‹ The rated voltage of moisture analyzer and heating equipment is factory set to 230 or 115 volts. The voltage has been indicated in your order. The rated voltage is indicated on the label on the bottom of the instrument:

230V: MA50C-...230 - 115V: MA50C-...115

! If it does not match: Contact your local Sartorius office Do not use this instrument before applying for a transformer

Can only be used

- Original power cord

―Power cords certified by Sartorius Technical Service

― If you need an extension line, only use the cable with ground cable

l When connecting the moisture analyzer and power supply, the analyzer plug must be plugged into a socket with a protective earth

Security

If you use an unprotected grounded electrical outlet, a dedicated electrical technician must install a protective conductor on the ground that serves the same purpose as the local installation application.

The protective effect of using an unprotected ground extension power line must not be invalid.

Connecting electronic devices

l When you connect or disconnect a peripheral device (printer or computer) from the connector, you must unplug the AC power.

heating time

To obtain accurate results, the moisture analyzer is heated for at least 30 minutes after it is connected to AC power or after a considerable amount of time after the power disconnection. Only after such a time moisture measurement can the required operating temperature be achieved.

Charging rechargeable battery packs

Before starting operation, allow the moisture analyzer to charge for at least 10 hours. When the measurement is powered off, the analytical data can be stored for approximately three months.

Adjust the moisture meter

purpose:

― Compensation for unevenness in the installation site

―Made the moisture analyzer to a perfectly horizontal position for fixed repeated measurements

- Leveling is necessary to determine that the liquid sample in the disposable sample tray is at the same level.

When changing the position of the moisture analyzer, the analyzer can be adjusted at any time.

Only 2 front legs are used to level

l Indented now

l Adjust the two front feet as shown in the figure until the air bubble is in the center of the circle of the horizontal indicator.

> Normally required levelling steps

l Extend the two rear feet up to the surface where the moisture analyzer is placed.
