"Key technology development of high-power wind turbine bearing steel" major special start

Recently, the national "863" "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" major project "Key Technology Development for Bearing Steel for High Power Wind Turbine Units" was officially launched, and a report on the opening of the project was held in Huangshi City, Hubei Province.

It is reported that this project is the first national "863" major project undertaken by Yanshan University as the person in charge of the project. Cooperation units include Northeastern University, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, and Luoyang LYC Bearing Co., Ltd., with a total funding of 19 million yuan. Among them, Yanshan University undertook the development of key technologies such as high-power wind-bearing bearing steel new steel grades and heat treatment process formulation, and participated in the drafting of national standards for wind power bearing steels.

It is understood that the yaw bearings, variable pitch bearings and spindle bearings for wind turbines of more than 5 MW in China are completely dependent on imports. After the successful completion of this project, China will have the capability to produce high-performance, long-lived large-scale yaw bearings, pitch bearings, and fan spindle bearing steels for wind power generators with a power of 5 megawatts or more, thereby changing China's high-power wind power. The development of bearing products lags behind.
