Heavy Metal Online Monitoring and Underwater Automatic Measurement Technology in Zhejiang Province Received Acceptance

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] Recently, the two science and technology department public welfare projects undertaken by the Zhejiang Metrology Institute “Quantum dot nanoprobe for water quality heavy metal online detection method” and “Underwater coded light stereo vision measuring technology” passed Provincial Science and Technology Agency acceptance.

The results of the "Quantum Dot Nanoprobe for Water Quality Heavy Metals On-Line Detection Method" project made up for the deficiency of domestic heavy metal online monitoring technology. The on-line continuous monitoring of the concentration of heavy metal ions in water quality that can be applied to environmental monitoring departments and companies can provide a quicker, simpler, lower cost, and high-precision detection method for the detection of heavy metal ions in water, realizing real-time detection of heavy metal ions of lead and mercury in water. Continuous online testing provides technical support and traceability guarantees for network monitoring of heavy metal ions in water quality.

“Underwater Encoded Light Stereo Vision Measurement Technology” proposed a underwater odometry method based on structured light binocular stereo vision technology. The results of the project are more efficient and convenient for underwater automatic measurement and underwater exploration. It can be widely used in seabed topographic mapping, oceanographic research, hydrology and geography research, waterway measurement research, environmental testing, investigation of seabed resources, inspection of oil and gas pipelines, inspection of lower engineering, etc., and effectively meet the needs of scientific and technological innovation in our province's “Mighty Ocean Province”.
