Selection standard and test method of battery extrusion tester

There are many different standards for the purchase of battery compression testers. The extrusion requirements and functions required in many standards are not the same. So what should we use as standards? Look at the following:
First, according to the type of battery to determine the type of extruder used
(1) Automotive power batteries are generally only automotive battery compression testers or computer battery compression testers, because automotive power batteries are subject to relatively large pressures, and the standard requires that the batteries be compressed to 85% of the original size for a certain period of time. Recompressed to 50% of the original size, generally according to the two standards QC744/QC743 in the table, the automotive power battery compression testing machine can meet these two standards, and is now widely used, is a new type, high-grade, safe Higher performance devices.
(2) The mobile phone battery and lithium battery generally use ordinary battery compression tester, requiring a pressure of 13KN.
Second, according to the standard requirements select the appropriate equipment;
Third, if the standard still can not help to judge, you can send the battery back to the company you purchased, and you can judge which battery should be selected by experiment.
Battery compression tester test method:
The battery compression tester is used to simulate the situation where various types of power batteries are subjected to extrusion during use, and tools for detecting and evaluating the safety of the battery products.
1. The battery is squeezed between two plates. The squeezing force is exerted by the hydraulic head of the piston. The extrusion continued until the pressure reading on the hydraulic head reached 17.2 MPa, and the force was approximately 13 KN. Once the maximum pressure is reached, the pressure can be relieved.
2. Cylindrical or prismatic batteries are to have their longitudinal axis pressed parallel to the plane of the extrusion device. The prismatic battery also has to be rotated 90° about its longitudinal axis so that its wide and narrow sides can withstand the squeezing force. Each sample battery is only subjected to pressure in one direction. Use different samples for each test.
3. Coin-type or button-type batteries, so that the plane of the battery is pressed against the plane of the squeezing device.
