Over the past few months, the Newport Township Fire Protection District has shared exciting updates on their Facebook page:
Our second engine arrived today! Newport 1422 is almost ready to go!
Tonight was the first test run for our brand-new engine, 1421. The second one is coming tomorrow.
Our new engine has just arrived! The second one will be here soon.
Newport Fire Department’s custom pumper tender from Custom Fab & Body is now in the works. It features a 1,500-gallon tank and pump. We're excited about its arrival and are already preparing for its delivery. The second unit is about 80% complete.
We’re making great progress on our new engine. We hope to have it ready by the end of August, with the second one following in September or October.
