New engines for the Newport Township FPD

Over the past few months, the Newport Township Fire Protection District has been sharing exciting updates on their Facebook page:

Our second engine has arrived today! Newport 1422 is getting ready to go into service soon.

Tonight marked the first run of our brand new engine, 1421. The second one will be here tomorrow.

Our new engine has just arrived! The second one isn't far behind.

Newport Fire Department's new Custom Fab & Body pumper tender is now in the works. It features a 1500-gallon tank and pump. We're excited about its upcoming delivery. The second unit is already 80% complete.

We're making great progress on our new engine. We hope to have it ready by the end of August, with the second one arriving in September or October.
