China's chemical fiber industry eliminated over one million tons of poor quality production each year

The reporter learned from the 12th China International Chemical Fibre Conference held in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province on the 8th that in recent years, with the rising cost of raw materials and the intensified market competition, the structural adjustment pace of China's chemical fiber industry has accelerated noticeably, and inferior quality production capacity has been eliminated hundreds annually. Tens of thousands of tons, there is a clear trend of "three concentrations" in the industrial structure.
According to Xu Kunyuan, vice president of China Textile Industry Association, the polyester industry eliminated low-quality production capacity at a rate of 1 million tons per year in 2004 and 2005, of which fiber-grade polyester was eliminated most, and 90% of the polyester production capacity was eliminated. . In 2005, the viscose staple fiber and nylon industry in the chemical fiber industry eliminated 166,000 tons of poor-quality production capacity, mainly due to its small scale and backward technology capability.
At present, the structure of the chemical fiber industry is continuing to be optimized, and the trend of “three concentrations” is even more pronounced:
The first is the concentration of production capacity to large companies. In 2005, there were 22 enterprises with an annual output of over 200,000 tons, with a total capacity of 9,080,000 tons, accounting for 47.2% of the total production capacity, with an average production capacity of 413,000 tons per year; 59 enterprises with an annual output of over 100,000 tons; 93 companies with over 50,000 tons . These are the main forces for China's chemical fiber industry to participate in the competition in both domestic and foreign markets.
Followed by the concentration of production capacity to the market. The chemical fiber industry, as the main raw material industry for textiles, must be concentrated along with textile clusters. China's textile industry clusters are mainly concentrated in the eastern Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, totaling 44 and accounting for 50% of the total number of clusters in the country; chemical fiber clusters are 27 in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, accounting for 68% of the total number of clusters in the country. According to capacity statistics, in 2005, only 12.56 million tons of production capacity in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, accounting for 65.2% of the total production capacity.
The third is the concentration of production capacity to private enterprises. In 2005, the proportion of production capacity of private enterprises in total production capacity has exceeded 2/3, reaching 66.77%. The proportion of state-owned and state-controlled enterprises has dropped to 27.4%.
