After continuous technical breakthroughs, various economic and technical indicators of the first polypropylene unit of the Polypropylene Division of Yanshan Petrochemical have been greatly improved. As of the end of July this year, the total output of polypropylene in the device exceeded 130,000 tons, and the number of product brands exceeded 40. The material consumption and energy consumption indicators continued to decline, and the production of special materials increased substantially from nothing.
After Yanhua’s first polypropylene plant was successfully started up in July of last year, the plant continued to tackle the new technology.
The first is to eliminate bottlenecks that affect high-load production of the device. Due to defects in design and manufacturing, P301 devices frequently malfunction after driving and often stop on the entire line. Through the structural improvement of the plant, the plant load was increased from the initial design of 16.5 tons per hour to 20 tons per hour.
Second is the rapid integration of new processes and old equipment through optimized processes. Most of the granulation system used in the transformation project of a polymer unit is an old one, and the new process does not match the old one, resulting in an excessive output ratio of by-products. After the plant's technical transformation of the powder conveying system and the granulation system, the granulation production line reached the historical best load level for 30 years.
The third is to continuously increase the output of special materials. They took full advantage of the gas-phase process of the retrofitted plant and actively developed and produced special materials for random copolymers. Over the past year, it has produced nearly 30,000 tons of special materials for random copolymers and homopolymers. The number of brands has exceeded 40, and the proportion of special materials has reached more than 35%.
