This thin oil lubrication system is specifically designed for static and dynamic pressure film bearings used in mills, as well as other machinery that requires such bearings. It utilizes N220–N320 extreme pressure industrial gear oils or similar lubricants. The system operates by using a high-pressure pump to establish a static oil film during startup, low-speed operation, and shutdown. Once the machine reaches a speed where a dynamic oil film can form, the low-pressure pump takes over to maintain liquid friction. The unit consists of an oil tank, low-pressure pumps, high-pressure pumps, a duplex filter, magnetic oil filter, oil cooler, valves, piping, and a control cabinet. Normally, one low-pressure pump is active while the other serves as a backup. The system offers filtering, heating, cooling, and safety functions. It supports automatic control with optional PLC or relay control, and DCS interfaces are available for integration with larger systems.
