·Zhejiang started gasoline and diesel oil upgrades to reduce sulfur emissions by 3,158 tons

The reporter learned from the news briefing of Sinopec Zhejiang Petroleum Branch that today, 15 gas stations in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province will take the lead in “drinking” Guowu (V) gasoline and Guosi (IV) vehicle diesel, becoming Nanjing and Guangzhou. After that, the third provincial capital city using the country's five standard gasoline. Hangzhou also played a striker for the overall upgrade of Zhejiang oil products. It is understood that after the oil product upgrade in Zhejiang Province is fully completed, it will reduce sulfur emissions by 3,158 tons.
This year, Zhejiang Province has formulated a standard upgrade and supply plan for gasoline and diesel for vehicles. As mentioned in the plan, the Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou regions will take the lead in upgrading oil products on November 1st, and all gas stations will supply the national five standard gasoline and the national standard diesel fuel supply.
On January 1, 2015, all gas stations in Zhejiang Province realized the supply of national standard diesel fuel for the country. On January 1, 2016, all gas stations in Zhejiang Province realized the supply of national five standard gasoline and national five vehicle diesel.
The reporter noted that the “double upgrade” of Hangzhou oil products was more than one month ahead of the requirements of the Zhejiang government. Today, 15 petrol stations in the urban area of Sinopec in Hangzhou took the lead in “drinking” the national five gasoline and the national four-car diesel. By October 1, this range was extended to most of the petrochemical stations in Sinopec Hangzhou.
In the past two years, Hangzhou has been invaded by smog and the concentration of PM2.5 is worrying. In the whole year of 2013, the air quality rate in Hangzhou was only 59%. Environmental pollution has become the most concerned issue.
This oil upgrade will greatly help the improvement of the environment.
From the most critical sulfur content index, compared with the previous national three-vehicle diesel, the sulfur content of the national four-vehicle diesel oil dropped from 350ppm to 50ppm, a significant drop of 85.7%. Compared with the previous national gasoline, the gasoline content of the national five gasoline was reduced from 50ppm to 10ppm, a significant drop of 80%.
According to Zhejiang's consumption of 9.5 million tons of diesel oil 7.7 million tons of gasoline last year, after this "double upgrade", Zhejiang can reduce sulfur emissions by 2,850 tons and 308 tons respectively, a total reduction of 3,158 tons.
In addition, the national five gasoline also reduced the limits of manganese content, olefin content, reduced the content of undesirable components in the oil, can improve the performance of the car.
“After upgrading the oil, the nitrogen oxides will be reduced by 4000-6000 tons, and the hydrocarbons will be reduced by more than 2,000 tons, which will help reduce the content of PM2.5 in the air.” Wu Jian, director of the Atmospheric Office of Zhejiang Academy of Environmental Sciences Said.
According to the "Standards for Motor Vehicles" standard of the National Standardization Committee, the grades of the national five-car gasoline will be revised, and the numbers 90, 93, and 97 will be adjusted to 89, 92, and 95 respectively. The national four-vehicle diesel is upgraded and the label is unchanged. During the replacement period, the national five and four national standard gasoline and the national four and three national standard diesel fuel can be mixed and filled.
"This upgrade of Hangzhou oil products will not affect oil prices for the time being." Zhang Gang, director of Zhejiang Petroleum External Publicity Office, said that as for when to raise prices, it is necessary to wait for the instructions of Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission.
According to incomplete statistics, Jiangsu Province, Guangdong Province, Beijing, and Shanghai have begun to use the national standard gasoline.
