Cargotec's MacGregor has received orders to supply two submarine cranes to Hyundai Heavy Industries.
According to reports, the two active heave compensation cranes are 100 tons and 25 tons of SWL, respectively, and will be installed to a new 160-meter-long heavy-duty engineering ship with the number 2654. The ship is being manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Industries. Expert Subsea 7 company built.
The MacGregor subsea crane will support the ship's global deployment throughout the complex deepwater and ultra-deepwater offshore operations, requiring a high level of precision load handling and reliability. The ship is expected to be delivered in July 2015.
