This time, we're looking at a suburban fire scene. The incident was either a box or second alarm in the old Battalion 7, now known as Division 20—probably Maywood or Bellwood, though I'm not entirely sure which one. There are some action shots here, and maybe someone will recognize some of the firefighters in the photos. I've always had a soft spot for the rigs, especially the ALF water chiefs, but I remember they had their share of challenges with the local water systems.
There are also a few photos from a fire in Glenview—a vacant supermarket. The Snorkel shown is the Glenbrook unit before its major rebuild. These images give a glimpse into the firefighting equipment and scenes from the 1980s.
