AR glasses power optimization
After the popularization of 5G in the future, the video transmission problem of 4K or even 8K can be basically solved, but the power consumption of this level of video codec and 5G transmission cannot be ignored. How to optimize power consumption is difficult. For AR glasses, 3D model rendering is also a module with higher power consumption. The new gaze point rendering technology can significantly reduce the power consumption of rendering by ignoring most of the pixel rendering, but gaze rendering requires the support of eye tracking technology, which is still immature. Fortunately, AR glasses command requirements for rendering technology are not high, and can even be directly replaced by 2D image overlay.
Large screen display
At present, the FOV supported by AR glasses is still relatively small, and the 52-degree FOV is approaching the upper limit in the industry, which limits the screen size when the near-eye display is performed. With the further breakthrough of AR optical display technology, the large-screen display problem during real-time command should be solved.
High resolution, high quality video capture
Limited by the size and power consumption of AR glasses, it is not easy to integrate 2K or even 4K video for command and dispatch on AR glasses. Currently, the upper limit of video shooting resolution supported by the industry is 1080P HD. Since the wearer itself is mobile, an image stabilization or EIS anti-shake system is required to capture a stable video. The movement of the AR glasses wearer and the subject is also easy to cause motion blur during video shooting.
